Yamaha will defend his MotoGP world champion without a sponsor. The team from Japan is difficult to get a replacement Italian car giant Fiat, which ended the joint sponsorship after Valentino Rossi's move to Ducati at the end of 2010.

Yamaha difficulty for investors to pick up first was reported by MCN last December. In fact, that time they've done a pretty long conversation with Petronas and AirAsia.
Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies will officially unveil the YZR-M1 in Sepang, Malaysia, on Monday (21.02.11), ahead of the three days of official pre-season test at the circuit. According to MCN, there would be no changes to the "uniform" Yamaha, so that the Japanese factory that will appear as the first official test at the beginning of this month.
Nevertheless, Yamaha boss Masao Furusawa would not care about the condition. In fact, he says, they will appear with the color of the greatness of the company, while providing a benefit to the team that will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
"This is a memorable year for Yamaha, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in grand prix arena. In 2004 I said the same thing to Altadis (Gauloises cigarette brand owners) that I want to stop the sponsorship because in 2005 I wanted to celebrate anniversary -50 Yamaha with the company colors.
"This year is our 50th year on the racetrack and I feel the same. The door is always open for a sponsor to come, but before we show our brand with the blue color of the company.
"Hopefully this year some sponsors will come and knock on the door of Yamaha, because next year I really want a sponsor."
Without a sponsor for the team means MotoGP, Yamaha, who dominated the MotoGP since 2008, will be independent in funding needs of all races in the 2011 season.
