Ben Spies was already feeling more comfortable again riding the Yamaha M1. The reason, he did not have to work hard again like last season, because the final version of the motor is already a lot of improvements on some of the drawbacks previously experienced.

Told Crash.net, Spies, who is now promoted to the Yamaha factory team for the MotoGP 2011, admitted that there was progress for the speed issue.
"Yes, absolutely right. Personally I think I've change about it," said the 2009 Superbike world champion. "Also, in connection with it, if I've been riding this bike last year, I am not sure to face so many problems in the first five laps.
"I'm not too upset about it, because now I do not think are doing a lot of things wrong.
"It's just paketan, and just could not do that (increase speed) in the first few laps. So, it's just something I do not think that I need to work as much as they think."
Last season, Spies appear quite impressive. Rookie status, he could be two podiums and won one pole position, was ranked sixth for the final standings, the best and make it as a rookie in the top position.
Towards the new season, Spies also appear quite promising. On the second official test at Sepang earlier this week, he became the fastest rider for the Yamaha team, because it is ranked fifth.
